How long do the results last?
The effects persist a long time, but they aren’t permanent. They can last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years, depending on the patient’s age, the area treated, the type of filler used, the amount of filler used, and their lifestyle.
Is there any downtime?
There is no downtime as you can resume your normal routine immediately. However, I usually caution my patients that they may experience bruising or swelling, so it’s best to avoid getting fillers shortly before a big event.
What are the risks and side effects?
Dermal fillers are highly safe in general. Redness, swelling, bruising, itching, and discomfort are common effects that may occur. However, these are minor and will go away on their own in 1-7 days.
